From Dr. Steve R. Parr

I. Thou shalt not worship your former pastor, but God only.
II. Thou shalt not abandon the church to which you have been called.
III. Thou shalt not take thy former pastor’s name in vain, but always take the high road.
IV. Thou shalt remember the Lord’s Day is still the Lord’s Day even when your church is without a full-time pastor.
V. Thou shalt not punish your next pastor for your former pastor’s shortcomings.
VI. Thou shalt not kill your former pastor’s reputation, it can speak for itself.
VII. Thou shalt step up to leadership and not down from leadership during the interim.
VIII. Thou shalt not steal God’s tithe because you’re upset with His children or without a full-time pastor.
IX. Thou shalt not covet control, but seek unity.
X. Thou shalt continue to be a witness to your neighbors and community.
